Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Tien shared valuable insights and experiences accumulated throughout his career in research, management, and policy development in the field of urban technical infrastructure. He expressed his hope that the donated publications would serve as useful learning resources, contributing to the enhancement of the University’s education and scientific research activities. He also hoped that these materials would inspire future generations of civil engineering students to pursue research, innovation, and professional excellence.

Following his insightful remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Tien presented the University with two scholarly publications of significant academic and practical value: Technical Guidelines: Application of the Sponge City Model in Urban Stormwater Drainage in Vietnam and Urban Underground Space Planning.

The publication Technical Guidelines: Application of the Sponge City Model in Urban Stormwater Drainage in Vietnam introduces a sustainable approach to urban stormwater management aimed at mitigating flooding, enhancing resilience to climate change, and improving the quality of the urban living environment in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Urban Underground Space Planning highlights the important role of underground space in modern urban development and provides scientific foundations, international experiences, and relevant legal frameworks for the planning, management, and effective utilization of urban underground infrastructure systems.

These publications represent in-depth research works addressing critical issues in the sustainable urban development process in Vietnam. They not only provide theoretical foundations and practical experiences but also present contemporary trends and advanced models from around the world. As such, they will serve as valuable resources to support teaching, learning, and research activities in the fields of construction, urban planning, and urban infrastructure development.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Meritorious Teacher, expressed his appreciation for the valuable contributions of Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Tien to the fields of technical infrastructure and urban development. He highly valued the significance of the donated publications, noting that they represent the results of the author’s dedication, practical experience, and many years of research. Professor Nguyen Viet Anh emphasized that these valuable resources should be widely disseminated among students, graduate students, and researchers in the field of water supply and drainage, as well as related disciplines.

Bà bày tỏ mong muốn những tri thức quý báu trong các công trình nghiên cứu của ông sẽ tiếp tục được lan tỏa và phát huy giá trị trong cộng đồng sinh viên Trường Đại học Xây dựng Hà Nội.
